Just what is a GOLEM?
As described by poet Tina Hacker, “a golem is a mud and clay being summoned from the earth to accomplish a task dictated by its creator. After fulfilling the task, the golem returns to the earth, becoming mud and dirt again.” Hacker brings the traditional clay character to life as protection in our modern world in her book of poems, GOLEMS.
Her delightful collection brings a variety of golems to life…just in time with tasks on hand. Whether it is to protect and encourage, fulfill a child’s wish, bring needed rain, catch the bouquet or even combat the pandemic, each summoned golem completes its assigned task and returns to earth as destined.
Don’t worry, this magical creature will always leave his…or her…mark!
Kansas City is so fortunate to have talented writers such as Tina Hacker. This book will both inspire and amuse, leaving you feeling that you are protected amid the complex issues of today’s world.
Just summon your GOLEM for protection.
Readers do have their favorite poems, however, you will want to keep this “magical” collection at hand just in case an unfamiliar task arises. GOLEMS, published 6/18/21 by Kelsay Books, can be purchased on Amazon here: GOLEMS, Poems by Tina Hacker.
